More delays on leaving

Well, we have some more packing to go, it looks like its actually going to be Tuesday before we even get out of town. I dont want to leave really late in the day and arrive in Michigan late, so we'll probably opt to leave Tuesday morning rather than later Monday. Man, we have tons of stuff. Unbelievable what you can fit into a house and not even realize you have until its time to clean it all up. We have 11 huge boxes of our books that we are going to try and ship to the main post office up there to hold. Who knows whether we'll be able to do that, it'd be nice, that way Chrissys mom wouldnt have to drag them all to the post office once we get an address.
The dogs are acting strange, they arent very happy about us moving all the stuff out of the house, they definately seem to know that something is up, but little do they know the adventure that they have coming.
More to come.

Route

Got the route together the other day, or at least an outline of it. I always feel compelled to do something like this, but then once we get out on the road, we never seem to stick with the chosen route.
We'll be stopping in to see family in St. Joseph, MI and then in Minnetonka, MN.

Ready

Im getting to that point where I am ready to go, but still have so much stuff to pack. We have tons of stuff. We have gotten rid of so much, but still have so much left.
We are getting autostart put on the truck on Monday. Thats a huge expense that we can save on here. Its around $200 cheaper in Kentucky. I installed some lights in the topper today, and setup our brand new tent. Its a cheap tent, but seems to be decent quality. Its huge, which will be nice for camping with the dogs, but it takes some time to setup which is a pain to say the least.
We are wrapping up our online sales on friday so that we can pack up all the rest of the books and get the hell out of here. Sunday is the leave date.
I have some stuff on ebay right now if anyone is interested http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZjustinmapleQQhtZ-1

still packing necessities and purging the rest

My fear is finally turning into excitement and I'm looking forward to the future. I'm looking forward to the unknown. The sadness about leaving a pretty neat city and a lot of very cool people is a definite reality. I don't think that feeling will be subsiding anytime soon.

My 2 cents

Its almost time to get out of here. Were packing more every day, went today to get a bunch of doublewalled boxes for our books to ship in. Im getting pumped.
Looks like we have about 3500 miles of driving with 2 dogs, 2 people and about 1 ton of our stuff.
Lots of camping, lots of driving and lots of new stuff.
More to come...
